About the event
WCGA’s annual clinic on golf rules, etiquette and handicaps is one of our most popular event. The clinic will provide a rules and handicap overview with practical on-the-course tips so bring your clubs.
In the past, this was tailored to new golfers, and this clinic is still a must for our members who have done the beginner Get Golf Ready class but still have questions on golf etiquette. But this year’s clinic will also have great advice for women who have been playing a few years and want to understand some of the most common but tricky rules of the game.
The clinic will start promptly at 6:30pm with happy hour following. This event is free and open to current and prospective WCGA members. It will be capped so register early. Plan to meet at the picnic tables by the starter.
Presenters:
WCGA member Marlowe Boukis, who ran this clinic last year, played golf at Princeton and then pursued a professional career for three years on the LPGA Futures Tour (now known as the Symetra Tour).
Mary Ann Graham is Rules and Handicap Director for the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Washington DC Metro chapter. She can update us on the PGA’s 2019 rules changes.
Jim Graham is a USGTG-certified Golf Teaching Professional who enjoys working with new golfers to help them have fun on the course.
