University of Maryland Golf Outing

In 1954, the President of the University had a study commissioned for a proposed golf course to serve the University community, the report was completed in 1955 and stated, "there is no way of having a complete course of Physical Education without having at least some facilities for the teaching of golf.” An unlimited membership fee at opening was $20 annually!  This course underwent a $3.5 million upgrade in the summer of 2008 and remains today a staple of the University campus. Golfers can share a cart that have plexiglass dividers installed to help with social distancing. Alternatively, you can register for your own riding cart for an additional $10.
