WCGA players enjoyed a terrific day on the course at Lee’s Hill Golf Club in Fredericksburg, Va.! This was a new course for us, and the golf club staff could not have been nicer. Nice touches with our names on the carts and personalized scorecards. Thanks, Ann Warner, for organizing this event.
Once the early morning drizzle cleared, the weather was cool and breezy followed by wonderful warm sunshine. The course was in excellent shape and was challenging for all players. It also was welcoming and peaceful – full of huge trees, lily ponds, and thick shrubs. Any balls we might have saved at Hershey Country Club, we lost here.
After play, we had a few golf tales to share and enjoyed homemade NY Italian deli foods, including delicious pastries and gelato (s’mores or strawberry cheesecake gelato, anyone?!) at Basilico’s.
