WCGA Enjoys a Wonderful Day at Clustered Spires

The Women's Congressional Golf Association recently gathered at the beautiful Clustered Spires Golf Club in Frederick, Maryland, for a fun-filled day of golf, learning, and camaraderie. With sunny skies, comfortable temperatures, and the course in great condition, members couldn't have asked for better weather for a summer outing.

The day began with an excellent instructional clinic led by PGA Professional Scott Peterson. During the session, members focused on two of the most challenging aspects of the game—improving their chipping around the greens and learning effective techniques for escaping sand traps. Scott shared practical tips, demonstrated proper technique, and provided personalized coaching that golfers of all skill levels could immediately put into practice. The clinic was informative and enjoyable, giving everyone greater confidence before heading out onto the course.

Following the clinic, members teed off to enjoy a round of golf, with some doing 9 holes and others 18. The outing provided the perfect opportunity to sharpen skills and spend time with fellow members in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Post golf, the group gathered in downtown Frederick for a delicious patio lunch at Brewer's Alley. As always, the conversations and laughter throughout the day were just as memorable as the golf itself. A special thank you to Scott Peterson for sharing his expertise and enthusiasm, and to the entire staff at Clustered Spires Golf Club for their hospitality and for making our outing such a success.
